Scott was born in Chicago but moved to Southern California early in his life. He doesn’t remember much about Chicago but he did bring a love of the Cubs to the Golden State. He grew up in a Christian home and spent most of his time at church. After graduating from high school he spent years volunteering with his church’s youth ministry, which eventually led Scott to seminary and vocational ministry.

After graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary with his Master of Divinity, Scott served for eight years as the Associate Pastor of Student Ministries at Community Baptist Church in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. In his role Scott had the opportunity to participate in all levels of the church’s ministry. He led the youth ministry, sat on the church’s senior leadership team and was a vital member of the preaching team.

It was on the preaching team that Scott felt most alive. He loved the entire process from creating sermon series, writing the actual sermons and then preaching them. He had the opportunity to craft numerous sermon series and church-wide campaigns. When standing in the pulpit and sharing God’s word, Scott felt like he was doing what God had created him to do

So in 2015 he left his job as a youth pastor to pursue opportunities to speak and write. Scott is a gifted communicator who would love to partner with your church, group or organization. He is passionate about God’s word and communicating its truths. Contact him today to speak at or help plan your next camp, event or sermon series.

Scott currently lives in Southern California with his wife, Alycia, and their daughter Clara.
